HIPLIFE ARTISTE QUATA “RESURRECTS” WITH OHIA AND WIND AND GO LOW FEATURED NOVEMBER 26, 2015 SHARE Rapper, Quata, won the admiration of many for his tongue twisting style but the man

Rapper, Quata, won the admiration of many for his tongue twisting style but the man who has gone missing on the music scene for almost six years is poised to resurrect his career.

And to prove how ready he is for his new “journey”, Quata, who gained prominence in 2004 is out with two new songs, Ohia (Poverty) and Wind N Go Low off his upcoming Quantus album scheduled for release in December.

Aware of the soaring interest in highlife among the new crop of artistes, Quata goes back to his Ghanaian music roots on Ohia, a highlife piece which was produced King Joe. The rapper may have found himself in an unfamiliar terrain on Ohia but his delivery on the song proves his seriousness to make a successful career this time.

He might not have the best of vocals to the listener but Quata, real name, Jacob Kwame Etroo, made a good impression on Ohia where he talks about how poverty brings disgrace to people.

For the man who had tasted fame in the past, Ohia might be a description of his struggles as he encourages people to work hard since poverty isn’t a good experience. He further entreats the younger ones to uphold the virtues of determination since that is the only way so push poverty away from them.

The former student of Aggrey Memorial School is not ignorant of the growing competition among the new crop of young artistes who are obviously flying the flag of Ghana high on the international platform but Quata, who has once upon a time enjoyed such fame said he is back for good.

“I’m not competing with anyone for the first position. I’m back to do what I love to do best after a long break and I know my fans would appreciate it,” he stated.
